Encoding and processing into web-friendly formats

Video files are encoded in MP4, Ogv and WebM (supported by HTML5) and MP4 (supported by Flash).
Audio files are encoded in MP3 and Ogg (supported by HTML5) and MP3 (supported by Flash).
Where possible, text is analyzed in order to retrieve the data needed for search engine detection, and then exported as a series of image files.

Dans le cas d’un document de type média, les champs proposés par défaut sont : Texte Activer/Désactiver le forum ( on peut désactiver l’invite au commentaire pour chaque article ) Licence Ajout/suppression d’auteurs Tags

Chaque formulaire de publication d’objet peut donc être personnalisé.
Pour accéder à la personnalisation des champs de formulaires, il est nécessaire d’aller dans l’administration de votre MediaSPIP puis de sélectionner "Configuration des masques de formulaires".
Sélectionnez ensuite le formulaire à modifier en cliquant sur sont type d’objet. (...)

Manipulate video with ffmpeg without losing quality
17 août 2016, par TheChymeraI am rotating a video with ffmpeg with the following code :
ffmpeg -i nd750_a0040.MOV -vf "transpose=dir=clock, transpose=dir=clock" out.mkv
The resulting file is almost 10x smaller than the input.
I have found this question which addresses a related question and suggsts passing to ffmpeg the codec and bitrate obtained from the following :bitratev="$(ffmpeg -i "$1" -f null - |& grep video: | awk -F'[:|kB]' '{print $2}')"
codecv="$(ffprobe -loglevel error -select_streams v:0 -show_entries stream=codec_name -of default=nk=1:nw=1 "$1")"however, both of these commands give me the same output for both files :

respectively.
Am I correct in assuming that ffmpeg keeps these values the same for the output - by default ?However, if I inspect the files with
ffmpeg -i

- Which bitrate is the correct one for each video ?
- Is all of the information loss between these two files covered by the bitrate (or does ffmpeg by default change other things that lead to a lower file size as well - if so, what ?) ?
- How do I make sure nothing else changes but the container format and the rotation ?

Android ffmpeg library use
26 août 2016, par m.skolimowskiI’m pretty new to use of ffmpeg library. I used this http://writingminds.github.io/ffmpeg-android-java/ to add library to my android studio project. It works well when I run the command
-version
or-devices
However when I try any command with-i
beginning like for example-i video.avi

FFMPEG creates incorrect Source duration
4 août 2016, par Byron WhitlockWhen transcoding movies from an AVI to mp4 sometimes FFMPEG sets the "Source Duration" incorrectly.
This messes up playback on IOS devices. Specifically, it causes the video to cut out at "Source duration" while the audio still plays.
FFMPEG output transcode doesn’t’ show anything odd at all. Looks normal, no errors or warnings.
- Can I force FFMPEG to never add the "Source Duration" metadata ?
- How do I edit the track metadata shown by mediainfo ? I tried Mp4box, and a few others, but I can’t seem to figure out how to edit track level metadata.
