  • Problem using FFmpeg to convert MKV with A/52 B audio (aka E-AC3) to AAC

    I've got a number of MKV files which are (per VLC) encoded with A/52 B (aka E-AC3) audio codecs. I would like to convert these to AAC, but I'm having trouble doing this with FFmpeg. The command I'm running is :

    



    ffmpeg -hwaccel auto -i original_file.mkv -y -c:v copy -c:a aac output_file.mkv


    



    The command completes without error. However, the generated file has no audio when I play it. FFmpeg's output is as follows :

  • converting all the mp4 audio files in a folder to mp3 using ffmpeg [duplicate]

    how can I convert all of the mp4 files in a given folder to mp3 using ffmpeg.
Almost all of the links I have seen on google is all about converting mp4 video to mp3.
I can do this via VLC player but I have got huge collection 1000 mp4 audio files and want this to be done over command line by some script or command.
Is it possible to do it via gstreamer ?

    I am trying to set up a livestream with ffserver and ffmpeg. The problem is I am using webm, and I need to burn in subtitles, which are located in a mkv. I am not quite sure how to do this, but here is my ffmpeg config (ffstream.sh) that I am using :

    Everything connects fine and I can get audio and video to play, however I cannot seem to get the subtitles to show up. Here is my output (I quit out of it) :
