    Dixit Wikipedia, XMP signifie :

  • A "region code" restriction for a custom created video dvd file [closed]

    17 décembre 2012, par user931392

I want to create a video dvd ( no menus, just "plug and play" ) from a few video files. I`m doing it like this :

    ffmpeg -i sample-media/hellboy-2.wmv -y -target ntsc-dvd sample-media-to-mpeg/hellboy-2.vob

    dvdauthor -o sample-dvd -x dvdauthor-settings.xml

    mkisofs -dvd-video -o hellboy-2-trailers.iso sample-dvd/

    where "dvdauthor-settings.xml" is : link.

But when I try to play the iso file in windows it says :

Windows Media Player cannot play the DVD because the disc prohibits playback in your region of the world. You must obtain a disc that is intended for your geographic region.

When I open the *.IFO file with IfoEdit it says that all world regions are unabled.

Can someone tell me why is this happening ? ( maybe the whole process of creating the *.iso file is wrong ? )

  • Node.js : realtime conversion from jpeg images to video file

    14 janvier 2016, par MastErAldo

I’m using node.js and through the socket.io library I receive chunks of data that are actually jpeg images. These images are frames of a realtime video captured from a remote webcam. I’m forced to stream the video as jpeg frames. I’m looking for a way to convert on the fly these jpeg images in a video file (mpeg 4 or mjpeg file). Does node have a library that can do this ? I already took a look at the Node-fluent-FFMPEG library but the only examples given were about conversions of jpeg files to a video and not a conversion on the fly from a stream of jpeg images. Or alternatively, does ffmpeg for windows support a stream of jpeg images as input ?

  • Streaming video from an image using FFMPEG on Windows

26 mai 2013, par Daniel Zohar

I wrote a program that simulates a camera and converts the output into a video stream. The program is required to be able to run on Windows.
There are two components in the system :

    1. Camera Simulator. A C++ program that simulates the camera. It copies a pre-generated frame (i.e. PNG file) every 0.1 seconds, using the windows copy command, to a destination path ./target/target_image.png
    2. Video Stream. Using FFmpeg, it creates a video stream out of the copied images. FFmpeg is ran with the following command :
      ffmpeg -loop 1 -i ./target/target_image.png -r 10 -vcodec mpeg4 -f mpegts udp://127.0.0.1:1234

When running the whole thing together, it works fine for a few seconds until the ffmpeg halts. Here is a log while running in debug mode :

It seems to me there's some kind of collision between the reading and writing to/from the same file. What's also interesting is that on Linux (while replacing the copy with cp) the program works just fine.

Can someone suggest a way to solve this issue ? Alternatives solutions are also acceptable as long as the logical workflow remains the same.
