  • FFMPEG compiled binaries don't run using MinGW

9 juin 2015, par Paul Knopf

I am trying to build windows executables/dlls for Windows XP, and they are not working. They are the correct architecture. They run fine on my Windows 8 device machine.

I used dependency walker to find missing DLLs, and all were present.

Here are the compiled executables I am trying to run.

I ran the windows build script for ffmpeg.

    Here is a dumpbin /headers ffmpeg.exe

  • How do I write a batch file that opens a msys shell and then run commands in the shell ?

    19 septembre 2024, par cxu

I'm trying to automate the process of building ffmpeg on Windows 10. I'm following the guide here : https://trac.ffmpeg.org/wiki/CompilationGuide/MSVC

Everything works fine when I do it manually, however I want to write a batch file that I can run to go through the entire process automatically.

Building requires me to set up the Visual Studio environment and the MSYS environment. This is where I'm having trouble, since running the MSYS environment opens up a new shell. I want to pass the configure/make/make install commands to the MSYS shell after it is opened.

I've tried the solution here : How to open a new shell in cmd, then run script in a new shell ?

The problem they had looks similar to mine, but the solutions posted there didn't work for me.

Here is the bat file currently :

    call "C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Visual Studio 12.0\VC\bin\amd64\vcvars64.bat"
call "C:\workspace\windows\mingw-get\msys\1.0\msys.bat" start cmd.exe /k bscript
pause

    and bscript :

    ./configure --enable-shared --toolchain=msvc --arch=amd64
make
make install

I've tried all sorts of variations like :

    call "C:\workspace\windows\mingw-get\msys\1.0\msys.bat" /k bscript
call "C:\workspace\windows\mingw-get\msys\1.0\msys.bat" bscript
start "C:\workspace\windows\mingw-get\msys\1.0\msys.bat" /k bscript
start "C:\workspace\windows\mingw-get\msys\1.0\msys.bat" bscript

And I've also tried leaving the bscript code in the original batch file.

The configure/make commands will either run in the original cmd window, a new cmd window or wont run at all.

Is there a way to pass commands to the MSYS shell like that ?

  • Record ip camera streaming with two login authentication

    13 octobre 2020, par oxorio

I'm trying to record a stream with ffmpeg, VLC or OBS that before you view the stream player you need to login with a microsoft account, the URL is something like this

    https://yourwebsite.msappproxy.net/Camera/player.html?stats=1

And after you login you have to insert a username and password to watch the camera you want to see.

I've got the .m3u8 and tried to play it on VLC but doesn't start the streaming, searching i found that you can add the credentials to the stream link but this doesn't work either

    https://user:password@yourwebstite.msappproxy.net/Camera/hls/live.stream.m3u8

I also tried with the extension "Video DownloadHelper" on Firefox and this extension is able to download the stream but at somepoint stops the download and you need to relogin on the website

    Edit :
Added the VLC output log

    -- logger module started --
main: Running vlc with the default interface. Use 'cvlc' to use vlc without interface.
main: playlist is empty
-- logger module stopped --

I tried with "Open in VLC" extension on Firefox so you can open the link you want to play on VLC.

The URL that capture this extension is like this

        https://yourwebsite.msappproxy.net/Camara/hls/live.stream-152121.ts

    And the VLC output log

    -- logger module started --
main: Running vlc with the default interface. Use 'cvlc' to use vlc without interface.
ps warning: this does not look like an MPEG PS stream, continuing anyway
ps warning: garbage at input from 509, trying to resync...
ps warning: this does not look like an MPEG PS stream, continuing anyway
ps warning: garbage at input from 509, trying to resync...
-- logger module stopped --

    Edit 2 (Solution) :
I solved the problem using this chrome extension

    Stream Recorder Chrome

Using this extension I was able to capture the stream without cuts
