• ffmpeg remote url not working in lambda function

  I have created lambda function to trim video.

  


  I run this command :

  


  /opt/bin/ffmpeg -protocol_whitelist file,http,https,tcp,tls -i 'https://source-bucket.s3.amazonaws.com/1.mp4' -ss 5 -t 10 -loglevel 48 -y -avoid_negative_ts 1 -acodec copy /tmp/output.mp4


  


  It gives following output :

  So, its not going beyond this : 'Opening 'https://source-bucket.s3.amazonaws.com/1.mp4' ; for reading\n'

  


  And after this, it immediately gets out. Need suggestions, where its going wrong. Same command working fine on local computer.

  


  I tried cloudfront and signed url as well, as mentioned in this post : How to read remote video on Amazon S3 using ffmpeg. But it doesnt work with url. Only working when downloaded into tmp folder.

  


  Following is the final log, which you can see is no timeout. It actually finish function execution within 2-3 seconds. I have timeout set for 15 mins to the function which is maximum :

• Generation thumbnail from video using ffmpeg [closed]

  Try to create thumbnail from video using ffmpeg
This command work perfectly :

  


  ffmpeg -i test.mp4 -ss 00:00:00 -vframes 1 thumbnail.jpg

  


  But I need to push video to ffmpeg from stdin, and find solution with pipe :

  


  cat test.mp4 | ffmpeg -f mp4 -i pipe:0  -ss 00:00:00 -vframes 1 thumbnail.jpg

  


  But it's not work for me. Error :

  Tried on macos and ubuntu. What can be wrong here and how to fix this issue ? Maybe exists other solutions without pipes, or something else..

  


• Use nvidia hardware acceleration to merge webms with pngs in ffmpeg

  So I need to merge around 18000 webms with with pngs, however on software encoding it's really slow, so I'm trying to use hardware acceleration to make this faster.

  


  I tried a lot of different stuff but none of them seems to work and it gives me generic errors to what I couldn't find anything relavant.

  


  This is the most "succesful" try I had :
ffmpeg -hwaccel cuvid -c:v vp9_cuvid  -i lightray.webm -i card.png -filter_complex "[1]format=argb,colorchannelmixer=aa=0.35[ol];[0][ol]overlay" -colorspace 5 -c:a copy output.webm

  


  Which gives me this error :

  I'm by no means an expert in ffmpeg or in video encoding in general, so I have no idea what this is supposed to mean.
