    31 janvier 2010, par

    Deux types de déploiements sont envisageable dépendant de deux aspects : La méthode d’installation envisagée (en standalone ou en ferme) ; Le nombre d’encodages journaliers et la fréquentation envisagés ;
    L’encodage de vidéos est un processus lourd consommant énormément de ressources système (CPU et RAM), il est nécessaire de prendre tout cela en considération. Ce système n’est donc possible que sur un ou plusieurs serveurs dédiés.

  • FFMPEG get a video duration and create a thumbnail

    14 mars 2018, par M.Izzat

    Currently this is what I use to convert a video into image from python :

    def video_conversion(raw_file):
       duration = "ffprobe -v error -show_entries format=duration -of default=noprint_wrappers=1:nokey=1 input.mp4"
       thumbnail_cmd = "ffmpeg -ss 10 -i input.mp4 -vframes 1 output.jpg"
       subprocess.call(duration)
       return output

    but this will create and Image for every 30 sec of the video duration, what I want is get the video total duration and create athumbnail exactly in the middle of the duration

    e.g : if the video duration is 60 second, create a thumbnail on the 30th second

  • How to keep transparency when scale webm file with ffmpeg

    5 octobre 2022, par Sonia Kidman

    I'm using ffmpeg to scale my WEBM file, by using below command :
ffmpeg -i in.webm -c:v libvpx -vf scale=100:100 out.webm
The output has correct resolution as I expected but the problem is transparency become black background.

    Could someone give me a solution for this.

    Thank you so much.

  • Why video in 24.976 fps are longer than video in 25 fps ? [on hold]

    13 février 2018, par loki

    I don’t understand, but when I download the same movie on the internet (because i need them in different languages), and when one is encoded in 24.976 and the other in 25 fps then one movie is more longer than the other ! Why ? because as i understand one movie have just a little more frame per seconds than the other but it’s can not influence the total length of the movie normally ?

    After how with ffmpeg make the 2 movies having the same duration ?
