    Sur le site principal, une instance de mutualisation est définie par plusieurs choses : Les données dans la table spip_mutus ; Son logo ; Son auteur principal (id_admin dans la table spip_mutus correspondant à un id_auteur de la table spip_auteurs)qui sera le seul à pouvoir créer définitivement l’instance de mutualisation ;

  • Problem to capture a video in 4K with FFmpeg

    I am a new user of FFmpeg. I am trying to capture a ten minutes video in mp4 format, on 4 4K’s slot and 4 FHD’s slot with cards video Pro Capture by Magewell.
    My machine has the following characteristics :

    • OS : Windows Server 2012
    • RAM : 64 GB
    • CPU : 2 processors Intel Xeon E5-2640 v3 @ 2.60 GHz

    The FFmpeg script, for slot 4K (I change resolution for FHD), used is the following :

    ffmpeg -rtbufsize 2048M -re -y -thread_queue_size 20384 -pix_fmt yuv420p -f dshow -video_size 3840x2160 -r 50 -i video="Video (05-0 Pro Capture HDMI 4K+)"  -codec:v libx264  -preset ultrafast -threads 8 -pix_fmt yuv420p -tune fastdecode -bufsize 2048M output.mp4

    This command is the best solution found at the moment, but the CPU goes up to 100% and the buffer fills up quickly and starts to drop the frames.
    So, my question : Is there a way to improve it or is a limit, principally, of the my machine ?
    If it is a machine limit, you would indicate me the minium requirments to do that.

  • Record Webcam as single JPG files [on hold]

    I have to record a Windows Directshow Webcam video stream (UHD, 30fps, yuyv422) as single JPG images. Performance is important, so preferably by using NVIDIA GPU acceleration via CUDA or something..

    What is the most simple but powerful solution, without having to buy proprietary software ?

    I had a look at ffmpeg, by recording as MJPEG and then using something like jpegtran to get the JPGs. I tried :

    ffmpeg -f dshow -video_size 1920x1080 -framerate 50 -vcodec mjpeg -i video="XI100DUSB-HDMI Video" out.avi

    But it results in an I/O error saying ’Could not set video options’. Maybe because of the yuyv422 pixel format of my Magewell USB dongles..

    Or is ffmpeg able to record as single JPGs directly somehow ?

    If someone has any other idea/solution besides ffmpeg, please let me know too ! Thanks !

    EDIT :

    I was now able to save JPGs directly, using webcamimg%04d.jpg instead of out.avi. But it’s always claiming about full real-time buffer. Raising the rtbufsize parameter doesn’t really help..

  • How to find higest bitrate in mp4 file and extract jpg ?

    I im using ffmpeg and have mp4 file that is in size around 50MB and duration 2m7sec.I need to write batch script for windows that will read whole mp4 file find position in seconds where higest bitrate is there and extract jpg image from that position.

    For example, i have mp4 trailer file that i would like to extract cover, using above script where i define time to extract jpg i get on some mp4 trailers black screen...so using above idea to find higet bitrate for shure will not be black screen, will be picture of some scene.

    Here is windows batch code that extract jpg dfrom mp4 using user defined time :
