Audio HLS with metadata on Mac from directory of mp3 files ?
2 février 2017, par eagspooI’m trying to create HLS output (m3u8 file + many .ts files) from a list of mp3 files where the mp3 id3 metadata is preserved in the HLS output.
I’ve been trying ffmpeg like this :
ffmpeg -f concat -i list.txt -hls_init_time 2 -hls_time 2 out.m3u8
where list.txt contains :
file 01.mp3
file 02.mp3
file 03.mp3
file 04.mp3
file 05.mp3
file 06.mp3
file 07.mp3
file 08.mp3
file 09.mp3
file 10.mp3The result is a single out.m3u8 file and a single very large out0.ts file. I was expecting about 1500 ts files and an m3u8 file that contains the last 5 ts files.
I’m completely new to ffmpeg and honestly I don’t want to learn it in depth right now.
Does anyone know how to do this either with ffmpeg or otherwise ?

The overlap filter needs to cover a full macroblock vertical edge when the
FIELDTX value for two neighbouring macroblocks is not equal. By changing
the internal ordering of the blocks from row major to column major, we do
not need to reinterlace a FIELDTX coded macroblock before running the overlap

ffmpeg called from python random failure
9 juillet 2017, par Jim WeisbinPython 2.7.1 on Mac OS X 10.12.5, ffmpeg 3.3.2 (installed with Brew).
ffmpeg is called in a loop though thousands of Apple Lossless files, converting to mp3 and tagging.

this works perfectly from the command line, and also works from Python most of the time, but randomly fails with the message

Error while decoding stream #0:0 : Invalid data found when processing inputWhat’s strange is that on the files it failed on, if I run it from the command line it succeeds. I tried putting in time.sleep(5) but no change. And the failures are not always on the same file, so it seems like it’s a memory or threading issue. I also tried calling with subprocess() instead, no change.
Any help would be appreciated.
