    Le mode ferme permet d’héberger plusieurs sites de type MediaSPIP en n’installant qu’une seule fois son noyau fonctionnel.
    C’est la méthode que nous utilisons sur cette même plateforme.
    L’utilisation en mode ferme nécessite de connaïtre un peu le mécanisme de SPIP contrairement à la version standalone qui ne nécessite pas réellement de connaissances spécifique puisque l’espace privé habituel de SPIP n’est plus utilisé.

    Deux types de déploiements sont envisageable dépendant de deux aspects : La méthode d’installation envisagée (en standalone ou en ferme) ; Le nombre d’encodages journaliers et la fréquentation envisagés ;
    L’encodage de vidéos est un processus lourd consommant énormément de ressources système (CPU et RAM), il est nécessaire de prendre tout cela en considération. Ce système n’est donc possible que sur un ou plusieurs serveurs dédiés.

  • Decode an RTP stream, process it, and encode it again

    i'm trying to receive an RTP stream (direct with an SDP file or from an RTSP server), decode it in something like an RGB matrix (to work on it with OPENCV), and encapsulate it again in a stream, to send it to another end point.

    I've tried live555, but it hasn't encoding/decoding, and support is mostly for keyframe formats.
    I've used ffmpeg whith success but only from the command line.

    I'm wondering if there's some smarter way of doing this.

    Why am I not getting an I-Frame every second frame ? Is there something else I can set to do enforce this ? If not, can you suggest how to do this using the mpeg4 codec. It's vital that I can extract what type of frame has been encoded during the encoding process and that I can set a specific GOP structure.
