  • FFmpeg hevc_nvenc encoder B Frame problem

    16 mai 2023, par ramondq

I'm using the latest FFmpeg windows Build (2022-12-02 12:44) from BtbN.
I'm trying to encode a video into HEVC codec using hevc_nvenc encoder. But it says [hevc_nvenc @ 00000263983f4280] B frames as references are not supported. Cause my GPU GTX1060 (GP106) doesn't support hardware accelerate encode HEVC of B frames.
command line

I tried to disable the B frames by adding the parameter -bf 0, but it doesn't work.
Then I tried to use the latest build from gyan.dev and it is the same. But when I tried to use an older build (2021-02-28 12:32) of BtbN, it doesn't have the problem.
Is there a workaround to bypass this B frame problem ? Cause I don't want to switch to an older build. Thanks.

  • Block YouTube from source page when trying to download a video with youtube-dl

    18 mars 2018, par user3108268

E.g. example.com/1 has a video hosted, you run youtube-dl example.com/1 and it all works fine, the video gets downloaded.

E.g. example.com/2 also has a video, but it also has a YouTube trailer. If you run youtube-dl example.com/2 the hosted video gets completely ignored and only YouTube trailer gets downloaded.

From what I see in the log is that the wanted local video playlist gets downloaded first and then ignored by getting overwritten by embedded YouTube playlist download.

You can’t even get the url with --get-url or get format with --list-formats. It always prints the googlevideos URL for the YouTube trailer and lists only the YouTube trailer formats.

I did manage to pull out the local video URL via --dump-pages and decoding the base64 encoded source. But the problem is that the URL contains a unique token each time the page example.com/2 is called, so passing the unique one-time video URL like e.g. example.com/2/video.php ?token=asdf to youtube-dl won’t download the video.

So I figured somehow I need to bypass the YouTube trailer source and playlist when calling youtube-dl example.com/2 and trying to download local video and not the YouTube trailer.

  • Tunnel Streaming through server

28 octobre 2017, par Sarathvichet Heng

I want to be able to stream a hls IPTV streaming but the origin server has country restriction. I also have a VPS server of that country so I want to stream through that VPS.
For example : a request to server http://vps.com/tv.php?ch=2 and then stream
But the source behind it is the origin which is http://origin.com/tv/ch2.m3u8?token...............
I was able to bypass token and fetch the streaming url using php but don’t know how can I mask http://origin.com/tv/ch2.m3u8...... behind http://vps.com/tv.php..........
. I don’t want to use FFMPEG because it’ll get
data and rebroadcast a new stream and consume high vps resource.
and If I capture packet using Wireshark while playing this http://vps.com/tv.php?ch=2 I’ll see http://origin.com/tv/ch2.m3u8?token......... behind it.
